Terms of Service
Last updated: July 9, 2026
These terms govern your use of Components.ca, operated by Components Systems Inc. (“Components.ca”, “we”, “us”). By using the site, requesting a quote, or placing an order, you agree to them.
1. What Components.ca does
Components.ca is a Canadian industrial sourcing platform. You can browse categories, use our engineering references and tools, and submit a request for quote (“RFQ”) — typically by uploading a drawing or CAD file. We prepare a quote for the work; if you accept and pay, we arrange for it to be manufactured and delivered.
The site is intended for business and professional use in connection with manufacturing and industrial sourcing.
2. Requests for quote and quotes
- An RFQ is a request, not an order. Submitting one creates no obligation on either side until a quote is issued and accepted.
- A quote states a price, lead time, and any notes for the work described. Quotes are valid for the period stated (or, if none is stated, a reasonable period) and may be withdrawn or revised before acceptance.
- Pricing and lead times depend on the specifications, files, and information you provide. Inaccurate or incomplete information may change or invalidate a quote.
- An order is formed when you accept a quote and complete payment.
3. Payment, taxes, and currency
Payments are processed securely by our third-party payment processor. We do not receive or store your full card details. Prices are in Canadian dollars unless stated otherwise, and applicable taxes may be added.
4. Your files and intellectual property
- You keep all rights to the drawings, models, and files you submit. We claim no ownership of them.
- You grant us and the manufacturers fulfilling your order a limited licence to use your files solely to quote and produce your order.
- You confirm you have the right to submit the files and that producing the described parts does not infringe anyone else’s rights.
- We treat your files as confidential and do not publish them or share them except as needed to quote and fulfill your work. See our Privacy Policy for details.
5. Acceptable use
Don’t misuse the site: no unlawful, infringing, or harmful use; no attempts to disrupt, probe, or gain unauthorized access to the platform; and no uploading of malicious files or content you have no right to submit.
6. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The site and its reference materials are provided “as is” for general informational purposes. Engineering references, charts, and calculators are aids, not a substitute for professional judgment, testing, or applicable standards; verify critical values before relying on them. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability arising from your use of the site is limited, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
7. Changes and contact
We may update these terms from time to time; material changes take effect when posted. These terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the province in which Components Systems Inc. is established. Questions? Contact info@components.ca.
